[STORY]:- My Fate, My Destiny – Final Episode
Drop your weapons or we shoot” the door was pulled down as many men in police uniform surrounded the entire room. One of the officer’s said, “This entire compound is surrounded, your men outside have been apprehended, all exit have been sealed. Surrender your weapons and set the hostages free”
Mrs Badmus was already shaking with fear. Her men one after the other surrendered their weapons. Mr christopher’s hand was on his head in utter despair.
It was too good to be true. Non of us informed the police, so how did they know we needed help. The answer to my question walked through the door. YINKA
“Officer that is the woman arrest her” yinka told them. When she saw Bayo and I on the floor she ran to us crying for joy that we were still alive. As the officers gathered up the culprit to the station, I kept on wondering how yinka found out we were in danger.
We all went to the station to write down our statement. We told the police everything, how I found some evidence in my Dad’s office bag. How I went to ogun state in search of answers, that lead me to mr christopher and the deposit safe box. How they tried to shoot me and ended up shooting yinka instead, the car accident and Bayo’s kidnap.

We told them everything leading to the final attempt on our lives when they discovered we had the complete Evidence.
It was Yinka’s turn to give her statement, and she began ” the night I was shot, my mum stayed with me at the hospital, late at night I heard her making a phone call. She taught I was asleep. She was sounding very angry, she said “you fools, can’t you get a simple Job done, you shot my daughter instead of that stupid girl I told you to kill. You all are very clumsy.
You must not make any mistake tonight or I will kill all of you” my mum stopped talking and listened to the caller for awhile. Then she said ” good, make sure you don’t hurt him inject him again tomorrow morning to keep him unconscious. Bayo is foolish but he is still my son. I will call you later” she ended the call.
I lay down quietly, I was afraid to make a sound, I even held my breath till am sure she wasn’t concentrating on me. A woman that can abduct her own son can also kill her daughter if that daughter discovered her secret.
I was worried for Happy. Why she wanted Happy dead was beyond me. But I knew that I have to keep happy safe from danger. So I devised a plan.
The next day I was discharged, instead of taking me home, mum insisted on taking me back to campus. I told her I needed to recover at home but she refused to let me come home with her. That was when I knew, she was hiding something Big. I have to find a way to sneak inside our house without her finding out.
I called Cook, she is someone I can trust. I told her everything. She sneaked me into the house that night without the other servants knowing.
I stayed at cook’s room. From her room you can get a good view of the seating room. And you can sneak in and out easily.
One day, Cook came to tell me that my mum was sending all the servants home for 3days leave. There was something fishy about that. My mum is not a compassionate person, she does not care about her workers so why is she giving them 3 days leave. Why did she want them out of the house that particular day.
After all the servants left, cook included, I hide myself behind a huge curtain used to decorate the seating room and waited to see what would happen that day. Not too long. Mum walked in with 5 men. One looked like a lawyer, the rest looked like thugs. They started discussing and I got the shock of my life.
My mum instructed them to kill everyone that has seen the evidence. I didn’t know what the evidence was but it had to do with Happy because they were mentioning her name from time to time.
The man that looked like a lawyer asked if Bayo should be killed along with the others, to my greatest surprise mum said “yes”. Even the lawyer looked surprised and said ” but he is your son”. Then she replied “he is not my biological child. I adopted all my children. kill him” I closed my mouth tightly to prevent myself from making any sound.
I couldn’t believe what I heard. I stayed patiently and listened to all their plans. Six hours later they left with my mum.
I rushed to the police station and told them all I have heard. They sent some officers to follow my mum. That is how we found my Brother and his fiancée”. She finished her statement.
Bayo was quiet, he was emotionally and physically exhausted. I could see the hurt in his eyes. I wanted to hug him and tell him it would be fine but I knew it would take time.
The next day the case was taken to court, based on valid evidence, mrs Badmus was sent to life in prison for murder, kidnapping, attempted murder and assault.
Mr Christopher was also sentenced to life. For the same charges.
After some months Bayo and yinka were healed emotionally. Yemisi their sister refused to believe the charges against their mum and blamed Bayo and Yinka for testifying against mum.
Knowing they were not Blood related didn’t reduce the love Bayo had for his sisters. Yinka and I became inseparable. Our Bond grew stronger.
Richard and christy found out they are expecting a Baby. And for the love christy showered on me when I had no one, I gave her some of my properties along with N7million.
As for Bayo and I, we got married one month later. Our wedding was like a fairy tale. Everybody that came was wondering at this match made in heaven. Bayo looked gorgeous in a Tux. While I looked like Cinderella. Everybody was standing to get good view of the Richest and latest couple in town.
We went to Dubai for our honeymoon. And the experience can be described as “heaven on earth” We were Rich beyond our imagination and getting richer by the day. We made good investments that grew daily.
Finally God blessed us with twin Boys. Ayodele and Ayomide. My name Happiness is working for me at last. This is my fate and destiny.
