A Nigerian student has expressed her anger online after returning a sum of N2 million mistakenly sent to her bank account, only to be met with no compensation from the sender.
In a video shared on the popular social media platform TikTok, the student conveyed her frustration to her followers.
The heartbroken student revealed how she went to great lengths to ensure the money was returned.
According to her, she left her class, traveled to the bank, and ensured the funds were returned to the rightful owner.
The student explained that she undertook this effort believing that the recipient, a presumed businessperson, would acknowledge her sacrifice.
In a voice note sent to the sender, the student vented her frustration, accusing the recipient of being selfish and inconsiderate. She lamented the time and resources she spent on the return.
In her words:
“You are being selfish. I am a student. I left my class and boarded transport because I felt you’re a businessperson and needed the money. I left everything asap and went to back.
“They kept me waiting and you are now doing this at the end of the day. My God will judge you for wasting my time. Ordinary transport I wasted. And you’re saying you are a Yoruba woman. You re not a Yoruba woman. You are a woman that is disappointing her child. Rubbish.”
