The defensive midfielder during his active years played for AFC Ajax, Borussia Dortmund and Juventus F.C.
He scored three remarkable goals for Nigeria and was a part of the 94 and 98 Nigeria football team. In 1998, he was voted Africa’s third-best footballer.
