Timothy Weah was racially abused on Instagram by fans with sickening messages branding him a ‘dirty monkey’, and demanding him to leave France.
The 21-year-old was labelled a ‘dirty monkey’ by an account via an Instagram direct message – with several emojis of the animal also used.
Written in French, it translates as ‘dirty Liberian monkey leaves France.’
Weah is the son of the legendary former Ballon d’Or winner, and President of Liberia, George Weah but this won’t get any recognition since it does not translate to money.
