Ajax right-back Sergino Dest has been linked a move to Barcelona and he has looked to add fuel to those rumours by posing in the Blaugrana’s tracksuit top on social media.
Barcelona view Dest as a potential replacement for Nelson Semedo, should the Portuguese depart the Camp Nou this summer.
Dest, meanwhile, is delighted to have been linked with the Catalan club.
Despite being just 19 years old, the right-back has become a regular at Ajax, playing 30 games before the coronavirus pandemic brought about the stoppage – and in the Eredivisie’s case, cancellation – of football.
He can not only play on the right side of defence but also at left-back, with this versatility viewed favourably by Barcelona.
Dest has been at Ajax since 2016 and he has a contract until 2022.
Barcelona are not the only team interested in him, though, as Bayern Munich are also keen on the United States international.
