The Kabong community, Jos North Local Government Area, of Plateau State, saw a transformer explosion on Saturday that resulted in no less than six fatalities, according to the Jos Electricity Distribution Company.
A number of people were hurt during the fire disaster that followed the explosion, and nearby residential buildings and businesses were also destroyed.
In a statement released on Saturday by Dr. Friday Adakole, the energy company’s Head of Cooperate Communications, it expressed its condolences to the families of individuals who suffered losses in the tragedy.
