WWE legend, Kerwin Silfies passes away at 75

Tributes and condolences flood in as Kerwin Silfies, a WWE legend and longtime director, passes away at 75.

His death was announced by Triple H, a WWE superstar and actor in a post  on the microblogging platform X formerly Twitter.

In the heartfelt tribute, Triple H described Kerwin Silfies as a huge part of the programming success, who had been involved since the mid-1980s.

Extending condolences to the deceased’s family, he shared that Silfies had worked on countless Raw, SmackDown, and WrestleMania matches.

“Today, the @WWE family lost one of our beloved members. Kerwin Silfies was a huge part of the company’s programming since the mid-1980s. Over his 35+ year tenure with WWE production, he directed countless episodes of Raw and Smackdown, PLEs, and of course WrestleMania. With a dry wit and an unmatched passion for his work and his coworkers, Kerwin affected hundreds of employees and millions of fans. Our thoughts are with his loved ones at this time”, His tweet reads.

Born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Silfies joined WWE (then WWF) in 1985 and spent over 35 years shaping the visual identity of the company.

He directed iconic events including WrestleMania, Saturday Night’s Main Event, and WWE’s first broadcasts in Saudi Arabia.
