At least fifty individuals, including women, children, and the district head, have been kidnapped, and three more people are said to have died in a bandit attack in Bagega, a mining community in Zamfara State.
A few locals spoke about the incident’s veracity claimed that on Tuesday morning, a group of gunmen on motorbikes broke into the village, opened fire on many homes, and fired without remorse.
Abubakar Uba, the head of the hamlet, confirmed the attack to Reuters, stating that the gunmen first abducted the district chief before abducting numerous other villagers.
