34-Year-Old Louisiana Teacher Had Sex With 15-Year Old Boy Eight Or Nine Times In The Presence Of Her Child

ZACHARY, LOUISIANA: Ellarea Silva, a 34-year-old science teacher at Northwestern Middle School in Zachary, Louisiana, turned herself in after allegations surfaced of her having sex with a 15-year-old boy on multiple occasions last summer, police authorities said. According to Silva’s arrest report, the illegal fling began when Silva emailed the teen using both their school email addresses. The communication quickly switched to their personal emails “so the school could not track” it, the report added.

Silva allegedly sent the boy nude photos and videos of herself,
intentionally keeping her face hidden so she couldn’t be identified. She
then reportedly told the teen she wanted to have sex with him. This is
when the relationship turned physical. The unidentified minor told
authorities that Silva would pick him up from his home and drive him to
her house where they would have sex. This happened eight or nine times
while Silva’s child was also present in the house. Silva is also accused
of giving the boy a vape that may have contained THC, the chemical
compound in marijuana, police said. When the teen told Silva that he
wanted to make their relationship public, she pleaded with him to stay
quiet “due to how his disclosure would affect her career and her
family”, the arrest report stated.

In a Facebook post, the Zachary Police Department (ZPD) said: “On
01/24/2020 the Zachary Police Department became aware of an allegation
regarding the sexual abuse of a minor. An extensive joint investigation
conducted by The Zachary Police Department and The East Baton Rouge
Sheriff’s Office followed. At the conclusion of this investigation, a
warrant was drafted for the arrest of Northwestern Middle School
teacher, Ella Silva [Ellarea Silva]. Probable cause was found and on
02/06/2020 Silva was arrested and booked into East Baton Rouge Parish
Prison for violating LA R.S. 14:81 Indecent Behavior with a
Juvenile,14:80 Felony Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile, and 14:43.3 Oral
Sexual Battery.”

The post added that detectives were requesting that parents of students who may have had contact with Silva to talk to their children about their interactions with her and contact ZPD detectives at 225-654-9393 if they believe their child was victimized. Silva is currently being held in East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on a bond of $225,000.
