The Edo police command has arrested fifty four suspected cultists from various parts of Benin metropolis.
The police also paraded fifteen armed robbery suspects.
The state Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosun said the arrest was based on tip off and distress calls from victims. He also disclosed that the command arrested one ritualist and recovered female underwear and menstrual pad.
He also revealed that twenty kidnapped victims were rescued.
Heartbeat360 correspondent Eunice Odigie reports that items recovered by the police include: one AK47 riffle, one single barrel gun, hundred cartridges, six vehicles, two battle axes, two hundred thousand eight hundred naira.
The suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
