60-year-old Man Remanded For Defiling Physically Challenged Minor In Rivers
A man identified as Victor Elem has been remanded in a correctional centre by a Magistrate Court in Port Harcourt on a charge bothering on defilement.
In a charge sheet, the 60-years-old man is accused of defiling a 12-year-old physically challenged girl inside her parent’s apartment in Ubima Community in Ikwerre Local Government Area of the state.
When the matter was mentioned in court, the Chief Magistrate, Kobani-Buzugbe declined jurisdiction to hear the case and directed that the case file be sent to the Department of Public Prosecution for advice.
Chief Magistrate Kobani-Buzugbe subsequently adjourned to 23rd May 2022 for legal advice.
