Glasgow Rangers midfielder, Joe Aribo might be one of the surprise names that could pop up when Super Eagles’ gaffer, Gernot Rohr makes his invitation list public.

Nigeria face Sierra Leone in the AFCON qualifiers double header in November and Rohr is determined to feed his strongest side against his West African neighbours, knowing full well that good results from the encounter would guarantee Nigeria’s qualifications for tournament billed for Cameroon.

The latest report from Scotland revealed that the injured Rangers midfield maestro is just a week or two away from staging a comeback to top-flight football.

“Joe Aribo is perhaps still a week or two away, Niko Katic remains a long term absentee and it’s unlikely new loan. Gernet.co.uk was quoted as saying on Thursday evening. With Wilfred Ndidi out for three to four weeks, Rohr would require Aribo’s ingenuity and hard pressing to unleash the best of Victor Osimhen and Samuel Chukwueze against Leone Stars.

The Gers Young Player of Year Award winner played just three matches before his ankle injury problem.Aribo scored his first goal of the season against St.Johnstone before the injury setback and last featured for Nigeria in an international friendly with Brazil.
