Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen was stretched out of Friday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone after suffering a frisky injury.
Osimhen who got Nigeria’s second goal after Alex Iwobi’s 4th-minute opener appears to have suffered a wrist inury.
The Napoli striker was initially attended to by medics at the Sam Ogbemudia Stadium before he was finally substituted for by Paul Onuachu.
While Osimhen looks almost certain to be out of Tuesday’s return leg in Freetown, it is not yet clear if he would be spending long periods on the sidelines.
