Ake Arts And Book Festival: A Cultural Immersion
For the past four years, book lovers gathered in Abeokuta, Ogun State for the annual Ake Arts and Book Festival organised by the Book Buzz Foundation.
This year, however, the city of Lagos played host to the event, with guests from all over the world making their way down for four days of cultural immersions.
From an interesting keynote address by the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo to amazing book chats, brilliant discussions about various issues and film screenings. Ake Festival provided the perfect environment to connect with artists, writers and people of like mind, while been drenched in the arts and books.
The 2018 edition had the theme ȐFantastical Futuresȑ and featured chats and panels with Nnedi Okoroafor, Kunle Afolayan, Arit Okpo, Brymo and a host of other speakers.
