Shehu became a free agent after his contract ended at the Green and White last season, but Fanatik reported on Saturday afternoon that the Sokoto state born defender is on his way to Turkey with Antalyaspor leading the chase for his signing. The Red and Whites have open talks with Abdullahi Shehu with both parties close to an agreement over what the former Kano Pillars star will earn at the club.

Besides, it was gathered from Shehu’s camp that the former Anorthosis Famagusta defender is bent on reclaiming his shirt in the national team after coach Gernot Rohr warned his players to sign for clubs where they’re guaranteed regular football.Shehu left Cyprus side Anorthosis Famagusta to join Bursaspor in a two-and-a-half-year deal in 2016 after a successful stint at the Portuguese club União da Madeira.Fanatik confirmed that Shehu is expected to storm Turkey to sign the dotted lines with the Mediterranean team in the coming days.
