Manchester United winger Antony will “probably” recover from an ankle injury in time for Saturday’s FA Cup final, says manager Erik ten Hag.
The Brazilian was taken off on a stretcher in tears after an innocuous challenge during Thursday’s 4-1 win over Chelsea.
United face Manchester City at Wembley on 3 June.
“It’s quite soon, but we think it is not too bad and probably he will be available,” Ten Hag said.
Antony, 23, has scored eight goals and had three assists since joining United from Ajax in September for £81m.
He missed the last eight games of the Dutch club’s 2021-22 campaign after suffering an ankle injury in a World Cup qualifier for Brazil in March 2022.
City trio doubtful for Wembley
City manager Pep Guardiola is also hopeful midfielder Kevin de Bruyne, defender Ruben Dias and forward Jack Grealish will be available for the final.
The trio were all left out of the squad for Sunday’s 1-0 defeat at Brentford.
When asked if the players would be fit for Wembley, Guardiola said: “I don’t know right now. Hopefully.
“Ruben, Jack and Kevin couldn’t play [at Brentford]. It is what it is.
“I think they will be ready but it’s hard to get ready in training. That’s why I had to see the players who played today.”
