APC Candidate Leading Saraki With Over 20,000 Votes In Two Of 4 LGAs

Ibrahim Oloriegbe, candidate of the All Progressives Congress
(APC) in Kwara central senatorial district, is leading Senate President
Bukola Saraki with over 20,000 votes in two of four local government
areas in the district.

To retain his seat in the upper
legislative chamber, Saraki needs to win by a landslide in the remaining
two local government areas.

So far, the Independent National
Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the results of Ilorin east and
Asa local government areas.

In Ilorin east, Oloriegbe secured
30,014 votes ahead of Saraki who had 14,654 votes while in Asa, the APC
candidate polled 15,932 votes ahead of the senate president’s 11,252
votes.

In all, APC has 45,946 votes, with PDP trailing 25,906, leaving a margin of 20,040.
