Areola Turned Down Big Clubs To Make Fulham Move

Alphonse Areola has claimed he turned down clubs of the stature of Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain to join Fulham.

The goalkeeper claims his focus was on being first choice once again, after spells as a back-up at PSG and Madrid.

“Of course, leaving Paris and Madrid, I certainly had opportunities, of the same calibre yes,” he told Canal+ (via Football London).
