Alexandre Lacazette and Hector Bellerin are amongst the nine Arsenal players who could be offloaded this summer as Mikel Arteta prepares to overhaul his squad.

The Gunners finished eighth in the Premier League last season, but they ended their campaign on a high note with a 2-1 victory over Chelsea in the FA Cup final.

Arsenal will receive a £30m cash injection from their FA Cup success last Saturday and they have also secured a place in the Europa League next season.

But Arteta’s plans to shake-up Arsenal’s squad means that several players could be axed to release funds for the club’s summer spending spree.

The Daily Mail now reports that Matteo Guendouzi, Lucas Torreira, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Sead Kolasinac and Sokratis could all be shown the door this summer.

Joining Lacazette and Bellerin on the chopping block could be Rob Holding and Shkodran Mustafi, who has been heavily criticised for his poor form last season.

Arsenal splashed out a then-club record fee of £46.5m to land Lacazette from Lyon in 2017.

But the 29-year-old French forward, who has two years remaining on his contract, has fallen behind the in-form Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the pecking order.

Arteta is reportedly keen to land deals for Atletico Madrid star Thomas, along with a new centre-back to bolster his options.

The Gunners are reportedly set to enter into talks to make Dani Ceballos’ move permanent from Real Madrid.

Arteta, 38, has admitted that he is confident of Arsenal’s business in the summer window after their FA Cup triumph.

“I have presented my vision and my plans and all together we will try our best to get the club in the best possible position,” the ex-Manchester City No 2 said.

“I know how important it was as we needed to be in Europe. It is a must for our club and financially because it is a bigger step forward in order to allow us to do more things in the future and have a better structure financially.

“I am very pleased for both things — winning the trophy and having the option to play in Europe.”
