Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has given an update on Shkodran Mustafi’s injury ahead of the mouth-watering clash against Chelsea in the FA Cup finals at Wembley.
Mustafi suffered a hamstring injury in the 2-0 win against Manchester City in the semifinals and doubts has been cast for his availability in the final clash against Chelsea in FA Cup.
‘The rest is true that Musti is injured and we need to assess a little bit how long he is out,’ said Arteta. “I doubt it [he’ll be fit for the final].
I don’t know. We have to see how he evolves in the next few days. At the moment, I doubt it.’
Arsenal would be banking on the victory in the FA Cup to get a sloth in the Europa League next season after the Gunners failed to finish in a position that would guarantee them a European competition next season due to their inconsistency in the Premier League.
