Atletico Madrid have seen their number of members rise by 300 since they launched their new season ticket campaign last Tuesday.
That high number during such uncertain times demonstrates the commitment fans of Los Rojiblancos have to their club.
There was a certain element of controversy to Atletico’s initial decision to charge 58 euros for a members card, while there are still doubts over what access supporters will have to matches next season.
However, members have now welcomed the club’s approach to the situation, with 130,000 of them, plus 150 supporters’ groups, receiving a letter from the Atletico explaining and clarifying the news.
The explanation included the news of the creation of a youth membership package for 14 to 24-year-olds which will cost 43 euros.
