Ayub Ogada, born Joseph Ayub Ogada, was a Kenyan musician and singer-songwriter. He was known for his unique musical style that blended traditional African sounds with contemporary influences. Ayub Ogada was born in Mombasa, Kenya, in 1956, and he belonged to the Luo ethnic group.
Ogada played various traditional African instruments, including the nyatiti (a Luo string instrument), as well as the guitar and flute. His music was characterized by hypnotic melodies, soothing vocals, and a deep connection to his cultural heritage.
