Barcelona prodigy Ansu Fati has sustained a torn meniscus injury in the 5-2 win against Real Betis on Saturday, it was confirmed by the club.
Ansu Fati suffered the injury from a heavy challenge from defender Aissa Mandi that led to the penalty that Antoine Griezmann would go on to miss.
The replay instantly showed that a twist of the knee had occurred and the test confirmed that it was a torn meniscus injury which could rule him out for a month of action.
With the latest development, Spanish manager Luis Enrique will not count on the attacker in Spain’s upcoming matches during the international break.
