Karim Benzema has contributed the third-most goals in Champions League history, only sitting behind Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

This is if goals and assists are put together, with the Real Madrid striker having scored 64 times and provided 27 assists (91 in total).

He is then followed by Raul Gonzalez (87) and Robert Lewandowski (79).

Cristiano tops the list as he has a combined total of 169 (129 goals and 40 assists), while Messi is 20 goals behind with 149 overall (114 goals and 35 assists).

Benzema is also the competition’s top French scorer, having netted 13 goals more than second-placed Thierry Henry.

He is also Real Madrid’s third-best goalscorer in Europe with 52 goals, after Cristiano (105) and Raul (66).

This season he overtook Alfredo Di Stefano, who netted 49 times in the European Cup.
