The La Liga return has not been in favour of Valencia and there is more unpleasant news coming to the way of the Mestalla outfit after the sack of Albert Celades.
Valencia striker Rodrigo Moreno has suffered a ligament tear in his knee during the 2-0 loss against Athletic Bilbao in their last outing in the La Liga.
“Valencia player Rodrigo Moreno suffered a partial tear to the lateral collateral ligament of his right knee during yesterday’s game against Athletic Club,” a club statement released on Thursday revealed.
“His recovery will be assessed in the coming weeks.”
Valencia will take a trip to Los Cármenes to play Granda on Sunday in their next outing in La Liga.
