Bosnia and Herzegovina club FK Zvijezda sign forgotten Super Eagles star Ejike Uzoenyi on a short-term deal until the end of the season after he was unveiled on the club official website.
The 31-year-old forward has put pen to paper on a contract until May 2021 after leaving South Africa Premier League side Ajax Cape Town in 2018. Uzoenyi was a member of the Super Eagles squad to the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations and got a taste of action against Mali in the semifinals of the competition held in South Africa and he also featured in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil by coming off the bench for the last 15 minutes of a 1-0 win vs Bosnia.
Nigeria international started his career with Enyimba before spell Rangers, Rennes, Mamelodi Sundowns and Bidvest Wits but the diminutive winger will look to make his debut for FK Zvijezda in Saturday’s league game against Zeljeznicar.
