Buhari Storms Abia And Imo On January 29 For Presidential Campaign

Ahead of the 2019 elections, President Muhammadu Buhari shall visit Abia and Imo states on January 29 Igbere TV can authoritatively report.

This was made know by the Abia state leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and former governor of the state, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu while addressing elders of his community who visited him tonight at his country home, Camp Neya Igbere.

Kalu, who is also the party’s senatorial candidate for Abia North said, President Buhari has confirmed to him that he will be live in Aba on the date.

“I can confirm to you that President Buhari will be in Abia state live to campaign for his re-election on the 29th January.”

“At the moment, the Party is yet to decide between Aba and Umuahia, which will be more suitable, but this will be worked out in the coming days. However, if the party takes my advice, we will receive the President in Aba.”

“Since the information was made known to us, there has been pressure from people in Aba and Umuahia demanding to host the President. Infact, people in Abia North are not left out. I have received several delegations from the zone demanding to host the President, who has done so much for them, in Ohafia, the zonal headquarters”, Kalu said.

Before the Abia state visit, Kalu also informed our correspondent that the President will first visit Enugu and Anambra states on the 24th of January for his campaigns.

Kalu who arrived Igbere on 23rd Dec from Germany after a scheduled Medical examination is billed to travel back to Germany for a follow up any moment from now.

During the interaction, Kalu told the elders that he will soon be traveling back to Germany for the final examination which will last between 3 to 4 days, after which he will likely be discharged finally.

Since the 5th of January, Kalu has been criss-crossing all the nudes and corners of Abia North soliciting for votes for President Buhari and for his Senatorial race, as well as many other APC candidates, which he said “is having a toll on him, necessitating the urgent travel”
