Arsenal have confirmed that Bukayo Saka has agreed a new long-term contract with the club.
Saka has enjoyed a breakthrough 2019/20 season for the Gunners, making 34 appearances across all competitions.
The 18-year-old’s previous deal was due to expire in 2021, which lead to a number of top Premier League clubs reportedly monitoring his situation.
But Arsenal have finally tied their academy graduate down after lengthy talks.
Head coach Mikel Arteta told the club’s official website: “Bukayo is a talented and intelligent young player.
“He has impressed me with his work ethic and attitude to learn and adapt, and it has paid off in his performances.
“I am excited to continue working with him to develop him further, and for him to help us achieve our goals.”
With 11 assists this term, Bukayo is the first teenager to hit double figures in a single season for Arsenal since Cesc Fàbregas in 2006/07.
