Bursaspor Supporters Beg Super Eagles Defender Not To Quit Turkish Club Ahead Of The Summer Transfer

Bursaspor supporters have begun to beg Super Eagles defender Shehu Abdullahi not to quit the Turkish club ahead of the transfer summer.

The 27-year-old Nigeria international has been impressive in Bursaspor’s push for promotion to the Turkish Super Lig with four goals in 26 outings in the First League this term.

Abdullahicould walk away as a free agent with his contract at Bursa Büyükşehir Belediye Stadyumu set to run down at the end of the season.

Bursaspor fans are urging the Super Eagles star to sign a new deal to remain with the club beyond of the this current campaign.

“Please don’t leave this team,” pleaded one of the fans on social media.

“If you go we can’t go where we deserve.

“As fans, we love and respect you very much, please don’t upset us.”

Another agitated fan promised the versatile player the captain’s armband in the team.

The Nigeria international joined Bursaspor in the 2017-18 season from Cypriot club Anorthosis Fagamusta in a deal worth 300,000 Euros.

He has since played 54 games and scored five goals for the club as Bursaspor are third in the promotion play-off spot, on 45 points in the Turkish 1st Lig 18-team log.
