It was Andrej Kramaric, not Erling Haaland, who stole the show at Signal Iduna Park as Hoffenheim routed Borussia Dortmund.

Match Reports

Andrej Kramaric netted four goals as Borussia Dortmund’s campaign ended in a humiliating manner with a 4-0 thrashing by Hoffenheim.

It was the Croatian, rather than Dortmund forward Erling Haaland, who stole the show at Signal Iduna Park with a goal glut to ensure Hoffenheim finished sixth – good enough to qualify for the group stages of next season’s Europa League.

BVB were already assured of a second-placed finish, and they left Achraf Hakimi and Jadon Sancho on the bench until half-time, but they suffered a heavy loss just two days after it was confirmed boss Lucien Favre will be back next season.

5′ CLOSE! Haaland misses a good chance

Dortmund have made a positive start to the match and almost have an early lead. The ball is flicked on and Baumann tips it into the air, but Haaland cannot quite turn it goalwards at full stretch.

8′ GOAL! Dortmund 0-1 Hoffenheim (Kramaric)

Dortmund may have started the match well, but they find themselves a goal down inside eight minutes. Kaderabek is slipped in down the right and pulls the ball back for Kramaric, who sends a first-time shot spinning away from Burki from 20 yards.

30′ GOAL! Dortmund 0-2 Hoffenheim (Kramaric)

Kramaric doubles his personal tally for the day to give the visitors a two-goal lead! Skov collects Bebou’s pass and gets a shot away. The effort is not on target but Kramaric is stood in an onside position in front of goal and helps it on its way past Burki.

48′ GOAL! Dortmund 0-3 Hoffenheim (Kramaric)

Sloppy defending from Dortmund once again as they fail to deal with a loose ball. Bebou plays a simple ball through the heart of the hosts’ defence and Kramaric cuts inside Piszczek before tucking through the legs of Burki.

50′ Penalty Goal! Dortmund 0-4 Hoffenheim (Kramaric)

Burki dives the right way to his right but is unable to keep out Kramaric’s powerful penalty. What a day this is turning out to be for the Croatia striker.

56′ SAVE! Fine stop from Burki

This is a superb stop from Burki to prevent Hoffenheim from opening up a five-goal lead. Skov flicks the ball up and looks to find the bottom-right corner with his next touch, but Burki somehow gets down to make the save.
