Catholic Priest Escapes From Kidnappers’ Den In Edo (Photo)

 A Catholic Priest, Rev. Fr. Isaac Agabi, who was kidnapped on Sunday by armed Fulani herdsmen in Edo State, has escaped his abductors, Igbere TV reports. Igbere TV had reported that Agabi was kidnapped along Auchi-Igarra road at about 5.00 pm, while on his way back to the parish. Agabi is the Rev. Fr. in charge of Holy Name Catholic Church, Ikpeshi, in Akoko-Edo Local Government Area of Edo State. Igbere TV gathered that the Rev. Fr. escaped from his abductors in the early hours of Tuesday (today), barely 48 hours after he was kidnapped. The Director of Communication of the Holy Name Catholic Church, Fr. Peter Egielewa, who confirmed the development, said no ransom was paid to secure the release of Rev. Fr. Agabi. He said the Rev. Fr. escaped from his abductors when they slept off in the night.
