Benfica have given up any pursuit of Edinson Cavani due to the striker’s wage demands, reports A Bola.
It is reported the Uruguay forward is looking for €20 million (£18m/$23m) a season, placing him way beyond the Portuguese side’s price range.
Cavani is a free transfer following the expiry of his contract at Paris Saint-Germain, where he was the all-time leading goalscorer.
