Chelsea defender Thiago Silva has revealed the main differences between the Premier League, Serie A and Ligue 1.
The former PSG defender and AC Milan star is in his first season in the Premier League at the age of 36 and he is played in the three to flight league.
He said at a Brazil team media conference: “I had a big apprenticeship in Italy. In my opinion, this is one of the best schools for defenders.
“Then there is the French championship, which is a little more physical and a little stronger. Even if PSG has a strong domination over its opponents, we played in a more exposed way because we had to take risks.
“As for the English league, after the two matches that I played, it gives me a headache. It’s aerial play at all times, a very high pace of play.”
He has been in excellent form for Chelsea since his arrival from Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the last season Champions League.
