Super Eagles ace Kenneth Omeruo hopes Chelsea will regret selling him despite seven years without making the first-team appearances before moving to Leganes on a permanent basis last summer.
The 25-year-old international moves to Stamford Bridge in January 2012 from Standard Liege before several loans to Eredivisie side ADO Den Haag, Middlesbrough, Kasımpaşa, Alanyaspor, Kasımpaşa, and Leganés all on loan before completing a €5m permanent move to Madrid base team in summer of 2019.
Omeruo, who has 51 caps for the Super Eagles told Hora Blanquiazul when asked do you think Chelsea regrets selling you? he said: “I hope they regret selling me.
“I want them to really regret it, I didn’t have the chance to play, but it was a good experience to play in another league.”
Omeruo has made 19 appearances for Leganes, netting a single goal but the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner was part of the 24-man squad called up for this month doubleheader against Sierra Leone.
