Chelsea Leading Man City To Sign German-Born Nigerian From Bundesliga

Chelsea are leading Manchester City the race to sign German-born Nigerian Nnamdi Collins from Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund this summer transfer window.

The 16-year-old defender joined the Black & Yellow from Fortuna Dusseldorf’s academy in 2013 and but the teenager is yet to make his professional debut is regarded as one of the outstanding young talents both in the club academy and across German youth football.

According to Bild claim that Chelsea has overtaken Manchester City team in the race to sign the Nigerian descent after the Blues have put together a transfer package for Dortmund worth around €2million (£1.75m).

Collins only has one year left on his current deal with BVB and the German club may be reluctantly forced to cash in if the teenager cannot be persuaded to extend his contract.

Dortmund are known for signing young players from other clubs due to their reputation of being one of the top developers of footballing talent after signing Erling Haaland in January and are the favourites to sign Birmingham City’s midfield prodigy Jude Bellingham, despite interest from Manchester United.
