Defending EPL Champions, Manchester city are reportedly interested in signing Chelsea amd England defender, Ben Chilwell with Pep Guardiola’s team in serious need of a top level left back.
Man City have not had such a Player in that position since Benjamin Mendy and Chilwell has emerged as a long term transfer target for Pep Guardiola’s team. However, despite the annoying nature of the interest in the Player from Chelsea’s aspect, this link is good news.
It shows that Ben Chilwell when he is fit and firing is undoubtedly one of if not the best left back in the EPL currently. His recent performances for Chelsea which has helped the team recover some winning form is testament to this fact.
It is clear that Chelsea will not entertain any approach from City for the Player and if Pep Guardiola’s team still persist, then it will depend on Chilwell deciding on if he want to remain at Stamford Bridge or move over to the Etihad. Only time will tell.
