The former Golden Eaglets winger was handed a start by Coach Unai Emery as they looked to improve their form this term.
The Nigerian began well against Real Valladolid as he gave Villarreal an early lead and defender Pau Torres made it 2-0 just before half-time.Chukwueze was replaced in the second half by Kubo, who is on loan from La Liga Champions Real Madrid.
