Conte Prefers Inter Bid For Kante Over €50m Tonali

Antonio Conte wants Inter Milan to bid for Chelsea midfielder, N’Golo Kanté instead of €50m longtime target Sandro Tonali.

The former Chelsea manager is in need of a midfield enforcer after losing the Europa Cup final to Sevilla and finishing second in the Italian Serie A. With the club hierarchy favouring the purchase of an Italian, Conte’s talk with President Steven Zhang earlier this week gave him more say on transfers.

Conte is hoping for a bid for more experience with offers for the likes of Aleksandar Kolarov, Arturo Vidal and N’Golo Kanté.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Inter must offload players to raise funds for Conte’s preferred choice Kanté, who he had brought in from Leicester City in 2016 for €35m during his time at Chelsea.

Inter may need to include Marcelo Brozovic, Roberto Gagliardini and even Christian Eriksen for the €50m-rated French World Cup winner and if they fail with the bid. Alternatives like Thomas Partey of Atletico Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur’s Tanguy Ndombélé are already been line-up.
