Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy has sent a heartfelt message to the club’s legend Petr Cech after his departure from Stamford Bridge.
Cech, who enjoyed a glittering spell with Chelsea during his playing career, stepped down from his role as Technical and Performance Advisor at the Blues earlier this week.
The former goalkeeper played a prominent role in Chelsea signing Mendy from Rennes in 2020.
Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Mendy thanked Cech and wished him all the best in the future.
“I want to thank you for all the moments, all the trainings and all the learnings we have shared together. Thank you for your trust,” the Senegalese international wrote.
“I wish you a brilliant future in your upcoming challenges.”
