Super Eagles midfielder, John Ogu has hailed Nigerian music superstar Davido for speaking to an agent on his behalf in view of helping him secure a new club.
The 32-year-old has been without a club since he left Saudi Arabian side, Al Adalah after the end of the 2019/20 season but has kept his cool waiting for the right offer before he commits to another club.
An emotional Ogu tweeted: ‘Davido, thank you. When I saw your post on how you contacted MayorKun. I felt so happy. People might think it’s all for clout but OBO you are really an amazing guy.

The former Hapoel Be’er Sheva midfielder also used the opportunity to appreciate his fans on the streets who constantly shows him love.
He wrote on his official twitter account: ‘I won’t even lie, this is the longest time I have spent in Lagos Nigeria and the love people show me on the street is just massive. I won’t even lie sometimes it gets me emotional that people love me that much and the name JOHN OGU is a brand.
‘They be like bruh you are one celebrity that don’t act like one and I’m like bro forget we all grew up in the street and I know how hard it is for us all. I don’t need to start faking all . We dey together. They be like you are too free and open . Yes I’m but don’t take my being open for granted.
