Former Arsenal striker, Ian Wright, has predicted that Manchester United can still challenge rivals, Manchester City for the Premier League title this season.
Wright stated this following United’s 3-2 loss to Brighton & Hove Albion in Sunday’s Premier League clash.
Glenn Murray and Shane Duffy put the hosts two goals up before Romelu Lukaku pulled one back for United.
However, Brighton scored again through Pascal Gross. Paul Pogba’s 94th-minute penalty was not enough as Mourinho’s men lost at The American Express Community Stadium.
“They finished second last season,” Wright told BBC Sport. “They have goal-scorers.
“They have world class midfielders. They have capable defenders.
“They have the best goalkeeper in the world. I still think Man United can get close to Man City.”
United will next week Monday face Tottenham in their next EPL fixture.
