According to a recent report from Sky sources, Premier League side Arsenal are interested in the possibility of trying to sign Gremio striker Everton Soares. There is said to be an offer on the table for Everton, but at this moment in time, it’s not yet been confirmed as to how much the fee is or who the club is that have put forward the offer. The Gunners have also been pretty interested in the idea of going after Crystal Palace striker Wilfried Zaha as has been well documented, but the reported figure that it would take to lure him over to the Emirates seemingly doesn’t work for Arsenal. As a result they are viewing Everton as a more financially viable option, and as we look ahead to the future, they’ll also feel like they can get the deal done pretty quickly as the countdown to the end of the transfer window continues to loom over the head of all major European teams. Former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain star Dani Alves is close to a move to Arsenal, according to report.

The Sun reported that Alves is prepared to take a huge pay cut to join The Gunners but still wants up to £200k-a-week wages.

The 36-year-old is a free agent after leaving Paris Saint-Germain last month and he fancies a move to the Emirates under the guidance of Samba star. Manchester City is interested in the services of the right-back but the presence on his fellow Brazilian player Danilo prevents the deal, the Premier League Champions will only go for Alves if Danilo is asked to find another club for the upcoming season.Alves played under Pep Guardiola and Emery in Barcelona and Paris Saint-German respectively, he is open to working with either of the managers again if he has the opportunity, Tottenham Hotspur is also monitoring the development.The defender captained Brazil to the Copa America title last few week
