Three new skill moves have been added to FIFA 21,EA Sports have confirmed.

When the new game comes out in October, players will have even more possibilities to dribble past opposition defenders courtesy of the all-new maneuvers.

‘Feint Forward and Turn’ (RS back + RS back) – ‘Drag to Heel’ (L1/LB + RS back then RS left/right) – ‘Ball Roll Fake Turn’ (hold L2/LT + RS forward then RS left/right) have all been added and we see a glimpse of them in action in the gameplay trailer that dropped yesterday.

These should be very fun to pull off with skilful players like Kylian Mbappe, Neymar and Eden Hazard to name a few.

In their pitch notes published on Tuesday, EA stated they had made “some very important changes and improvements” to skill moves – including reducing the penalty and error for chaining them and prioritising skill move execution over sprint requests.

They’ve also changed things up so that all players can perform skills with the right stick but their ability to pull them off successfully is determined by their skill move rating and attributes – the higher the more effective and the lower the more error-prone.

In addition, some skill moves can now be cancelled to bring more unpredictability to proceedings. (L2/LT + R2/RT) is the combination to halt fake shots, three touch roulettes, turn and spins and scoop turns.

‘Agile Dribbling’, which has been inspired by Bernardo Silva’s way of running with the ball and keeping that close control, promises to shake things up considerably.

EA wanted a realistic dribbling style that is “more explosive, agile, and fluid” to combat the jockey mechanic from the defending team and this system can be used by holding R1/RB while moving the left stick.
