Florentino Heaps Praise On Zidane’s Reject At Real Madrid
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has heaped praise on Zinedine Zidane’s reject James Rodriguez after the attacking midfielder put up a convincing show in the games played so far in the La Liga.
James was presented the chance to shine after his exit from Santiago Bernabeu became complicated during the summer, he was previously sent on a two-year loan to Bayern Munich under the instruction of Zidane who sees the Columbian star as surplus to requirement and upon his return his move to Napoli and Atletico Madrid failed to materialize after the injury to Marco Asensio, Isco and Brahim Diaz.Zidane had a re-think and stop the sale of James and now it seems the decision is beneficial to both parties as the former Bayern Munich star is enjoying his football once again.
James has now started the last two home games for Madrid and was one of the best performers in the 3-2 win over Levante on Saturday.”James is a player with a huge talent and someone we have a special affection for,” Florentino said at Madrid’s assembly.
