Forgotten Super Eagles star Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo banged first career hat-trick in Crotone 3-0 big win over Benevento in the Serie B encounter at Stadio Ezio Scida.
The 28-year-old Nigeria international struck in the 14th, 18th, and 71st minute to take his tally for the season to 17 goals from 32 games in all competitions for Pythagoreans.
However, Simeon was in action for 81 minutes before he was replaced by Samuel Armenteros while Libya midfielder Ahmed Benali played for 85 minutes in the encounter.
Crotone remain unmoved in the league standings as they sit second behind runaway leaders Benevento with 55 points from 32 games.
They will be aiming to build on Friday’s victory when they visit fourth-place Cittadella for their next league fixture on July 10.
Crotone last played in Serie A in the 2017-18 season.
