Former Arsenal star Alex Iwobi has reacted after Super Eagles 1-0 defeat to Algeria in an international friendly at Wörthersee Stadion, Klagenfurt in Austria on Friday night.
The 24-year-old Nigeria international who was at the start of the encounter as the preparation for November’s double-header Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sierra Leone.
Nigeria was condemned to her first loss in six matches after an early goal from Borussia Mönchengladbach defender Bensebaini Rami secured the win for Algeria and Africa Champions extend their unbeaten streak 19 games.
Reacting to the defeat Iwobi who was in action for the Eagles before making way, however, praised the effort of his teammates.

Iwobi will now shift his focus to Tuesday international friendly when Super Eagles will take on Tunisia in Austria.
