Nigerian goalkeeper Sebastian Osigwe has tested negative for coronavirus ahead of Super Eagles debut against Sierra Leone in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The 26-year-old FC Lugano star handed a median call last Thursday by the German tactician Genort Rohr who last represented the country at the U20 level in the 2013 Toulon tournament.
Osigwe’s latest test however came out negative clearing the way for him to link up with the Super Eagles for the first time.
The Switzerland-born will arrivals in the Super Eagles’ camp on Monday, following which he will battle for the No 1 jersey with Maduka Okoye and Daniel Akpeyi to line out against the Leone Stars at Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City on Friday, November 13.
The reverse fixture will take place four days later at Siaka Stevens Stadium, Freetown.
