Today, Evercare Hospital, Lekki was officially unveiled and is open to the general public. The hospital is a positive development in Lagos state because we believe that a strong healthcare system rests on both private and public sector investments.
For us as a government, we have increased our capital expenditure on health. We are currently renovating six of our general hospitals and are currently building two new general hospitals and a children’s hospital. We are also building an international research centre.
All these developments are to make healthcare accessible and affordable. The goal is to stop medical tourism. With good facilities, we will reduce the cost of healthcare and still provide quality healthcare.
