“How My Uncle Told My Mum I Was A Prostitude Because Of My Apartment” -Woman Recounts

A Twitter user has told women that they will always be called “Ashewo” once they become successful, even by family.

She went on to narrate how her uncle visited her in Port Harcourt then returned home to tell her mother that she is into sex work back in Port Harcourt because there’s no way she could afford the kind of apartment she lives in.

She said he was surprised to find out that her mum was the one who paid the house rent for her.

She added: “Ashawo is what you will get, even from family, know that and know peace.”

Her statement comes after journalist Kiki Mordi questioned why the success of most wealthy women is almost always attributed to sex work .
