Former Barcelona player, Carles Puyol has reacted to his response to the tweet posted by Iker Casillas about his sexuality.
Puyol was under scrutiny on Twitter by most members of the LGBTQ after he responded to Casillas’ tweet about him being Gay. According to most people, it was insensitive of both players to joke about the reality of some people.

Casillas has earlier deleted the post, claiming his account was hacked and has apologised to his followers and the LGBTQ community.
Puyol also followed in the same step to apologise to everyone he felt offended by his tweet.
I have made a mistake. Sorry for a clumsy joke with no bad intentions and totally out of place. I understand that it may have hurt sensitivities. All my respect for the LGTBIQA+ community.
